Lydia said that each of us create a different timeline whenever we make a wish here. That's why I don't remember being here before. So that when we go back, we all just see the results of that one wish, and not what the others have done.
I don't really get it. [That's more Stiles' area of expertise. Scott isn't well-versed enough in science fiction. He understands the altered timelines, but there's a part of him that would prefer for everything to come together in an amalgamation, because he knows all of his friends are here for good reasons.

I'd like us to all work together to make our incentives help Beacon Hills, and not create that whole ... confusing timeline thing.
[Because that way, Lydia could take her practiced abilities and help a unified timeline. Thing. Allison, Erica, and Boyd could come back before senior year. Maybe Isaac could come back from France.
